1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide through applications, client profiles, communications, coaching, feedback, payments, and service participation. This may include:
- contact and identity information, such as name, age, date of birth, email, phone number, city, state, and ZIP code;
- profile and matchmaking information, including photos, biography, relationship history and goals, career, hobbies, family information, preferences, dealbreakers, and availability;
- sensitive information you choose to provide, such as ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, dating preferences, health or accessibility considerations, and safety information;
- communications, call notes, chemistry-call responses, match decisions, date feedback, coaching records, and support requests;
- transaction, invoice, subscription, and payment-status information; and
- basic website and device information, such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, security logs, and page activity.
2. How we use information
We use information to review applications; create and manage profiles; assess potential compatibility; make human-reviewed suggestions; arrange introductions and chemistry calls; provide coaching; schedule services; request and review feedback; process and track payments; communicate with clients; operate and secure the website, portal, and CRM; prevent fraud and abuse; investigate safety concerns; comply with law; and improve our services.
3. How information is shared
We may share limited, approved profile information with a potential match when reasonably necessary to evaluate or arrange an introduction. We do not intentionally share home addresses, full financial information, government identification numbers, internal notes, or private feedback with potential matches unless you separately authorize it or disclosure is required for safety or law.
We may disclose information to vendors that help provide hosting, data storage, email, communications, scheduling, payment processing, professional services, security, and customer support. Payment-card information is processed by Stripe; Amora does not receive or store complete card numbers. We may also disclose information with your consent, to protect people or rights, during a business transaction, or when required by valid legal process.
4. Sale and advertising
Amora does not sell personal information for money. We do not use a client’s private matchmaking profile or sensitive dating information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain accurate matchmaking and payment records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet tax and legal obligations, address safety concerns, and protect the business and its clients. Retention periods vary by the type of record and legal requirements. Information may remain in protected backups for a limited period after deletion.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Clients should protect portal codes and immediately report suspected unauthorized access.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete certain personal information; withdraw optional consent; update communication preferences; or ask questions about our practices. Some information may be retained when required for contracts, safety, fraud prevention, tax, dispute, or legal purposes. California and other state laws may provide additional rights, subject to applicable exceptions and identity verification.
8. Adults only
Amora’s matchmaking services are intended only for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly accept applications from children. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted information.
9. Law enforcement and safety
Requests from law enforcement are handled according to our Law Enforcement Guidelines. If we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to address imminent harm, fraud, abuse, exploitation, or another emergency, we may preserve or disclose information as permitted or required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised effective date here and provide additional notice when appropriate.
